ACM's most prestigious member grade recognizes the top 1% of ACM members for their outstanding accomplishments in computing and information technology and/or outstanding service to ACM and the larger computing community.
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society with headquarters in New York City. It counted more than 100,000 members in 2011. The ACM is an umbrella organization for academic and scholarly interests in computer science. Its motto is "Advancing Computing as a Science & Profession".
Candidates for Fellow must have 5 years of continuous Professional Membership.
