Huaijiang Zhu
Autonomous Motion Alumni
My name is Huaijiang Zhu and I received my bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2015 from Technical University of Munich (TUM). Since 2015, I have been working towards my master’s degree at the same institute.
Currently, I am writing my master's thesis at MPI on associating sensor traces with motion primitives under the supervision of Dr. Franziska Meier, Prof. Ludovic Righetti and Prof. Jeannette Bohg.
My research interests include machine learning, control theory and their application to physical human-robot interaction. In particular, I am interested in exploiting the tactile aspect of motions to build robots that are capable of developing trust and intimacy with humans by touching, hugging or even tickling them safely.
