The Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart and Tübingen is celebrating a double anniversary this year: As one of the oldest and largest institutes of the Max Planck Society, the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research celebrates its 100th anniversary. Simultaneously, we are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, which emerged from the scientific realignment of the institute in 2011.
