Our institute is actively pursuing sustainability through a range of targeted measures aimed at reducing its environmental footprint. Photovoltaic (PV) installations in Stuttgart and Tübingen play a key role in harnessing renewable energy, while heat recovery systems from the compute cluster ensure that energy efficiency is maximized. In addition, energy-efficient building designs help to further optimize resource usage and reduce emissions. These initiatives reflect the institute's long-term strategy to limit energy consumption and minimize environmental impact, demonstrating a clear commitment to sustainable practices and a greener future through the expansion of renewable energy and improved energy systems.
The Sustainability Committee was established to oversee and promote sustainability efforts throughout the Institute. Composed of representatives from various areas, the committee is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce our environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and promote sustainable practices. Through its efforts, the Sustainability Committee plays a key role in shaping our Institute's sustainability policies and practices and ensuring that we operate in a responsible and environmentally conscious manner.
