Siem Muusz
Neuromechanics of Movement Master Student
My overall research interest is in understanding movement, from neuromechanics to biomechanics, from rats to humans to robots. I use neuromuscular models as tools to formulate theories for questions that are difficult or not possible to be answered with in vivo experiments alone. By combining neuromuscular models with experimental data, I explore how muscles, the nervous system, and the skeleton interact to produce adaptive and robust behaviour. From complex task like locomotion over uneven terrain to more fundamental questions about muscle function.
