Our group leader Buse Aktaş attended the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft 2026) in Kanazawa, Japan, where she gave two invited talks in the workshops “Minds and Bodies: Co-Design for the Future of Soft Manipulation” and “Nonlinear Physical Intelligence in Soft Machines.”
She also presented the poster “A Hand-Held Halbach Array for Human-in-the-Loop Interaction with Magnetic Jamming” from our research group, accompanied by a hands-on interactive demonstration. This project was led by Rut Martinez Miras and Burak Arslan.
Additionally, Buse helped coordinate the conference Art Gallery as part of the organizing team, supporting the integration of artistic and creative perspectives into the soft robotics community.
