I am interested in applying tools from mathematics and computer science to questions in cognitive psychology and psychophysics. My PhD is supervised by Felix Wichmann (Neural Information Processing Department at the University Tübingen) and Bernhard Schölkopf.
We investigate the human's causal code with methods from causality. Causality is an exciting research area which aims to detect causal structures from data. We apply these tools to human vision with a focus on the perception of the arrow of time.
I modeled the optics of the human eye with location dependent point spread functions in my master thesis. Previously, I implemented Deep Neural Networks.
