Two aspects of our research - detailed program will follow:
How does artificial intelligence work?
Artificial intelligence is regarded as the key technology of the 21st century and will influence large parts of science, business and society. The latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence are based on machine learning. Using examples, computer programs can identify regularities in data sets and transfer these to similar situations in the future.
How does a robot feel?
We humans are dependent on our proverbial tact, because without sense of touch we would not get along in our environment. Researchers now also want to use specialized sensors to give robots a haptic perception, i.e. a sense of touch. This will enable robots to perform new tasks in the future and improve the interaction between man and machine, for example in robotic systems in surgery.
